Mission Brewery Welcomes IDEA1 To The Neighborhood

Say cheers to IDEA1 and stop into Mission Brewery November 7th for discounted pours and tasty snacks between 6 and 8pm. Be sure to get there early, as they’ll be offering $1 pints for the first hour.

Mission Brewery is another amazing local business that makes the East Village so vibrant. After being originally established in 1913, Mission went out of business during the first year of Prohibition. In 2007, an avid-homebrewer reclaimed the brand and relocated the brewery and tasting room to the historic Wonder Bread building in the East Village.

A revamped space gave brewers the tools and room to make some seriously delicious beer. We’re currently loving the Kia Ora IPA, a new Zealand hopped ale with aromas of stone fruit and citrus; as well as the Lay Lemon Lay, a bright saison¬†with lemon peel and Nelson hops. If you’re looking for something darker, opt for their oatmeal porter or the black IPA brewed with Dark Horse Coffee.

Not a beer person? They also offer hard root beer, frozen orange lemonade, and a frozen tropical punch.

This amazing special lands right in the middle of San Diego Beer Week! While you’re becoming acquainted with IDEA1, also familiarize yourself with the amazing breweries, pours, and styles of brews that make San Diego a beer-drinkers paradise.
